Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023: Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023 is an initiative of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India to financially help Indian children below 18 years of age. The awards will be given to children for their merit in innovation, scholastic, sports, arts, culture, social service, music or any other field which deserves recognition. Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Scholarship Scheme Eligibility

• A Child who is an Indian Citizen and residing in India and is above the age of (+5) years and not exceeding 18 years (as on 31st August of respective year).
• Indian Citizens, residing in India.

• Bal Shakti Puraskar – 
  • Be an Indian citizen residing in India
  • Be above the age of (+5) years of age and not exceeding 18 years of age (as on 31st August of respective year)
  • Have excellence in Innovation/Social Service/Scholastic/Sports/Arts and culture (Note – Achievements that benefit society will be encouraged.) 

• Bal Kalyan Puraskar – 
  • Be an Indian Citizen and residing in India
  • Have attained the age of 18 years or above (as on 31st August of respective year)
  • Have made an outstanding contribution in any of the following fields:
    • Child Welfare
    • Child Protection
    • Child Development
  • Have worked for the cause of children for not less than 7 years

Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Selection Process

The applications received are first scrutinized by the Screening Committee and the final selection is done by the National Selection Committee.

• The Awards to be announced on December 26 on ‘Veer Bal Diwas’.
• The awards to be conferred in the week preceding the Republic day organised by the Ministry.
