SBI PO 2023 Selection Process

The Selection Process of the SBI PO Recruitment 2023 includes the Prelims Written Test, Mains Written Test, and the Personal Interview/ Group Discussion. The SBI PO Prelims Exam is qualifying in nature and the marks of the prelims exam will not be considered for the final selection.

Marks secured by the candidates in Phase II (out of 250 marks) are converted to 75 marks and Phase III scores of candidates (out of 50 marks) are converted to 25 marks. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase II and Phase III. Selection will be made from the top merit-ranked candidates in each category.

SBI PO 2023 Prelims Exam Pattern

The SBI PO Prelims Exam will consist of a one-hour computer-based written exam having questions from English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning as per the format given below. A total of 100 marks are allotted for the SBI PO Prelims Test. The candidates have to qualify in the prelims exam to be able to appear for the Mains Exam.

There will be a negative marking of 1/4th in the SBI PO Pre Exam. Candidates with 10 times the number of vacancies will be qualified in the SBI PO Prelims Exam and will be called for the SBI PO Mains Exam. There will be no sectional cutoff in SBI PO Prelims as well as SBI PO Mains Exam.

 SBI PO 2023 Mains Exam Pattern

SBI PO Mains written exam consists of both objective and subjective tests. The objective paper consists of questions on the subject of Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, and English Language.

The SBI PO Mains Written Exam consists of Essay and Letter writing in the English Language. The subjective paper (Essay/ Letter Writing) will be 50 marks and has to be completed in 30 minutes duration.

There will be a 1/4th negative marking in the objective part of the SBI PO Mains Exam 2023. The total time of the exam is 3 Hours. Candidates 3 times the number of vacancies will be qualified in the SBI PO Mains Exam and will be called for the SBI PO Interview/ Group Discussion
